| Award/Grant Description |
New understandings of divorce (as a social process) and children (as active practitioners of social life) have led to refined methods for investigating family life after divorce. Qualitudinal (or qualitative longitudinal) research, in which individuals are followed over time, can capture the immediacy of family processes as they unfold. In this one year study we will carry out a meta analysis of qualitudinal data gathered from a sample of divorced families over an 8 year period. The aim is to explore the dynamics of post divorce family life from the perspectives of different family members, thereby advancing our understanding of how integenerational and sibling relationships are constituted and 'worked out' over time.
