Collaborative Research Initiatives
The ESRC Collaborative Ventures Scheme was introduced in 2004, and offers the opportunity to develop strategic partnerships with interested parties (across all sectors including business, public and third sectors) willing to co-fund high quality research and in some instances develop research capacity, outside current funding modes. The scheme allows the ESRC to respond quickly and flexibly to new collaborative research initiatives which address strategically important social and economic issues both within the UK and globally. Existing collaborations include a wide range of multi-disciplinary initiatives, addressing ESRC's strategic research priorities. The initiatives range from small research grants to multi-million pound research centres. The initiatives are listed below in date order.
