Applications through the Joint Electronic Submissions System (Je-S)

From 1 September 2005 all research proposals to ESRC must be made electronically through the Joint electronic Submission system (Je-S).  Postal submission is not possible.

If you and your research organisation are already registered for Je-S, electronic applications can be accessed via the central Je-S web site.

When completing your application, you are strongly advised to consult both the Je-S helptext (accessed via the 'help' link on the Je-S screens) and the ESRC scheme specific guidance notes on this website. Particular attention should be paid to the sections on Case for Support and Attachments, as applications that do not comply with ESRC specific requirements cannot be accepted.

Organisations wishing to register for Je-S should contact Je-S Helpdesk at JeSHelp@rcuk.ac.uk  Tel: 01793 444164 (open 9am to 5pm weekdays, except holidays).  Users wishing to access the Je-S system for the first time are asked to check with their central administration on the status of the organisation's Je-S registration before pursuing the option of creating an account through the Je-S system.

Please note that this is not the place to find postgraduate funding forms.

Note that registration details for the Je-S website and for ESRC Society Today are not interchangeable; the two websites are separate from one another.
