AIM's mission is to significantly increase the contribution of and future capacity for world class UK research on management. AIM specific objectives are to:

• conduct research that will identify actions to enhance the UK's international competitiveness
• conduct research that is relevant to the needs and interests of beneficiaries in the private sector
• raise the scientific quality and international standing of UK research on management
• expand the size and capacity of the active research base for management studies.
