TLRP: Teaching for diversity: the next big challenge
Recent years have seen extensive efforts in many countries to ensure that the right to educational opportunity is extended to all members of the community. As this has happened, it has become increasingly apparent that traditional forms of schooling are no longer adequate for the task. So what kind of practices might help teachers to reach out to all members of the class? What does research suggest about how teachers and schools might develop more inclusive practices? In addressing these issues, the author draws extensively on the research carried out with schools and teachers in order to make sense of how movement can be achieved. The author also draws on a series of systematic literature reviews carried out in relation to the themes of their research.
