Living with sickle cell or beta thalassaemia trait : preliminary findings and implications for policy and practice
We were invited to present the policy and practice implications of the preliminary findings from the project at the Steering Group Meeting of the NHS sickle cell and thalassaemia screening programme, held on 7th November, in London. Sangeeta provided an overview of the preliminary findings from the project, focusing on issues of complexity and shifting nature of information sharing and communication over time (see power point presentation attached). Her presentation was followed by questions on the implications of the findings for the communications and outreach strategy within the programme.
