Rudderless in a sea of yellow : Europe, rapeseed, and political failure to develop renewable transport energy futures
The article analyses the multiple obstacles and path dependencies inhibiting the strategic innovation to develop post-fossil fuel transport energy in Europe. The paper compares the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Sweden and the heterogeneity of policies at the national level, as part of an explanation for the failure to develop effective European level strategic policy.
