Exhibition : fiat lux! : cold war neons, modernity and the metropolis
The exhibition focused on the phenomenon of“neonization” of Warsaw – the choreographed insertion of graphic art into urban surface. While positioning the urban signs of the time in the broader context of the political role of the urban space and ideological dimensions of architecture, it references the contemporary cultural discourse on “socialist modernity”. Featuring photographs, filmic material, artefacts, texts, and interactive displays, the exhibition explored the role of art and design in shaping the space of the metropolis. The exhibition was part of the CRCEES Winter Festival Programme.
