Title Older people’s use of unfamiliar space (OPUS) : a comparison of walkability in the virtual and physical environment of a town centre

Description At the same time as we age, the environments we inhabit also change. Our ability to cope with finding our way around new places or with navigating known places that have altered potentially becomes unsynchroniised with the pace of change. The central aim of the project is to determine the mechanisms and strategies used by older people to navigate unfamiliar spaces.
