Seminar details

This first seminar in a series of three will focus on conflict in space and place looking at accommodation and planning issues for Gypsies and Travellers in Britain. Topics covered in the sessions include:

  • Articulating the problem: conflict in accommodation and planning for Roma, Gypsies and Travellers
  • Contested community
  • Understanding conflict in planning – a theoretical framing of the issue
  • The discourse framework for Gypsies, Travellers and planning: a need for mediation and conflict resolution
  • Housing and planning futures delivering homes and sites: alternative approaches

Delegates have been invited and will be registered on 29 November.
