Location: Huntingdon Room, King’s Manor, University of York, York, YO1 7EP
This seminar will introduce the general public to academic studies of how York has changed since 1900. Drawing on Rowntree’s social investigations, studies by social scientists at the University of York, and archaeologists who have excavated 20th century slums, this will be a fascinating afternoon exploring social change in a key English city.
