Documenting and sustaining endangered languages: film screenings

Languages hold thousands of years of history and are vital resources for documenting and understanding the biological and cultural diversity. Today, there are about 6,500 human languages. Half of them are under threat of extinction within fifty to one hundred years. Three films will explore how anthropologists, linguists and community scholars work to address this global problem.
