RCUK Global Uncertainties Impact Support Fund

All RCUK GU accredited researchers can apply for up to £5,000 to support supplementary engagement and impact-generating activities at any stage of the project lifecycle, including up to 24 months after the end-date of the grant. Closing date 31 January

New Year Honours 2013

New centres and large grants funding announced

Following the latest call for the centres and large grants competition, we are pleased to announce overall funding of nearly £30 million for eight new investments.

Prestigious international award

Director of the Rural Economy and Land Use Programme (Relu) - Philip Lowe will be presented with the Bertebos prize 2013 by the King of Sweden, on 28 January.

The award reflects his significant contribution to sustainable rural development, land use management, and interdisciplinarity and specifically recognises the achievements the Relu programme.

Researcher appointed to the Migration Advisory Committee

Professor Jackline Wahba, from the Centre for Population Change has been appointed as a Non-Executive Board Member of the Home Office's Migration Advisory Committee (MAC).
